About The Artist

With a lifelong passion for art, Oneonta, NY native, Shelly Olmstead, blends musical influence with a penchant for the macabre...specifically the "horror film" genre, in every facet of her artwork. Her choice of big, bold brushstrokes and equally vivid colours amid dark backgrounds set the canvas afire regardless of which medium is being used. Her hauntingly beautiful photographs capture a single moment in time and instills feelings which are not only thought-provoking but also peaceful and serene. Come see...and live the world which lies behind the eyes of Shelly Olmstead.
